I got as call from Barnstead last night while they seemed to be in the midst of a snow storm that dropped the first inch of the season. I scratched my head because I had just been outside and I thought it was a fine night in Portsmouth. I went back out and checked, and sure enough, it was warm, in the low 30’s, with a clear view of the full starscape. Only 35 miles away, it seems that the farm exists within it’s own micro climate. Looking ahead to opening weekend in the forecast, my very next chore (i.e. excuse to drive the my tractor) will be to plow up snow so that families can come in to get their trees!
