Atlanta planting some cabbage

As a college student and activist, Atlanta realized that she wanted her professional work to align with her values and vision for a better world.  She started her career as a political organizer and subsequently worked in the non-profit, for profit, and international development sectors in a variety of campaign, communications, and management roles.  Over the years she worked on issues ranging from food safety and disease prevention to human rights and environmental preservation. In her current role as Senior Manager of Community Engagement for Timberland,  Atlanta manages the company’s award winning employee volunteer program, strategic community investments, and the Global Stewards program to ensure the company’s service and corporate social responsibility agendas play out with consistency and impact worldwide.

For the past twenty years, Atlanta has worked to channel the power of businesses to change the world.  Having always worked for other people, she is excited to be a part of her own family business that can reflect her family’s values and commitment to sustainability.  She loves spending time at Third Stone Farm and bringing people together there to enjoy the fresh air and simple pleasures the land has to offer.   She is eager to continue and build upon the sustainable business practices and mindful legacy of Mike, Rich and  Karlene.
