After planting 1,000 trees at the beginning of May and 1,200 last spring, we need some real spring rain to get the trees of to a good start. It seems that we’ve gone about 4 weeks without more than a trace of rain and things have been unseasonably parched. With this years trees showing signs of distress and some of last years trees dying before our eyes, we’ve had to come up with a way to water the seedlings. Armed with a couple of rain barrels filled at the house, a generator and a pump, we’ve got a watering team. 2,000 trees watered!
