With Thanksgiving just about here, our opening weekend is coming up quickly! We spent some time getting the farm ready yesterday.
If you drive by the farm at night, you might notice three trees with some Christmas lights. I’m trying out some solar lights but I have no idea how well they’ll work. I picked three trees, you know, for the “third” of Third Stone Farm. When you see the three trees together, let me know which one you think is for Willow.
Santa & Elfie have made it to their winter home to welcome folks to the farm. After moving Santa, I have to tell you that I will be putting out a little less eggnog and fewer cookies for him this year — that dude is heavy!

OK, so here’s Santa, but where did Elfie sneak off to? I don’t want to see anyone giving Santa more cookies!
Now, I have been getting a few calls about our trees. The common thread to the question is: do we have any big ones? So, I took my friend Erika out to check on a few tree heights to answer this question. Take a look at these photos! There were too many big trees to count for height, but don’t worry, we’ve got hundreds.
Thanks to Erika, we’ve got all the carts ready to go with tires filled with air, and stray stumps picked up. Rich & Mike gave me the run down on how to set up signs and netters. Now, all we need are some families looking for some Christmas trees.
- 14 1/2 feet! Now, really, how high is your ceiling again?
- This one was just a run-of-the-mill 12 footer.
- Mike & Rich trying to remember where the signs go.
